This website provides information about the services of PDI.Engineering. Protecting your personal data matters to me. Below you will find an overview of which data is processed when you visit this website and which rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing is the person named in the legal notice (PDI.Engineering · Kai Chmieleffski). Contact details can be found in the legal notice above.

2. Accessing the website / server log files

When you access this website, my hosting provider automatically collects and stores so-called server log files. These may include: the page accessed, date and time of access, volume of data transferred, source/referrer, the browser used and the operating system used. As a rule, the IP address is stored only briefly and then anonymised or deleted.

Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, on the legitimate interest of ensuring secure and stable operation of the website (e.g. for error analysis or defence against attacks). This data is not merged with other data sources.

3. Contacting me

If you contact me by email, telephone or via the contact form, the data you provide (e.g. name, contact details, content of your inquiry) will be processed in order to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where the contact relates to entering into or performing a contract, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

The data is stored only for as long as is necessary to process your inquiry and any follow-up questions, or as long as statutory retention obligations apply.

4. Cookies, analytics and tracking tools

This website does not use analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics), profiling procedures or social media plug-ins. Only technically necessary functions required to operate the site are used.

5. Your rights

Within the scope of the statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to obtain information about the personal data concerning you (Art. 15 GDPR), to have inaccurate data rectified (Art. 16 GDPR), to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and to object to certain processing activities (Art. 21 GDPR).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority regarding the processing of your personal data (Art. 77 GDPR). Normally this is the authority of your habitual residence or of my place of business.
